Ho area of Manhattan, Onyx has seen significant growth in user activity and community engagement, driving continued expansion across its product, engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams.

We're looking to add a key engineering hire to our team. As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll work directly with the founding team to build and scale the mobile experience used by millions of users. The ideal candidate has experience building consumer-facing mobile applications and contributing to both technical architecture and product development.

• Develop and maintain features across our iOS and Android applications using React Native
• Help shape and improve the mobile architecture, including application structure, state management, and performance
• Own projects from inception to production, including architecture decisions, implementation, testing, and monitoring
• Collaborate directly with founders on product direction, roadmap, and prioritization
• Support release processes across the App Store and Google Play

• Computer Science degree from a top university
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience with React Native
• Experience building and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications
• Thrive in a startup environment where you can take ownership, move quickly, and help shape both the product and the engineering culture
• Strong proficiency in Type Script, React Native, and modern mobile development practices
• Nice to have:
  Experience in fintech, gaming, sports, social products, or other consumer applications
• A background or interest in sports

• Compensation: 140k-225k
