Sr. Engineer - Front End SDET - Falcon Cloud Security; Hybrid

About the Role:

Crowd Strike is looking for a Senior Engineer (UI SDET) with a passion for quality specializing in Web UI test automation and strong manual testing skills. You will work closely with UI Engineers, UI Test Framework Engineers, and other SDETs to ensure optimal testing and release of the highest quality product. Your responsibilities include creating automated UI test suites for our Falcon product, leveraging modern AI‑assisted development tools like Claude Code and Model Context Protocol (MCP), helping build frameworks, libraries, and tooling used for testing our UI, and driving innovation and quality across the organization.

• Think strategically about test planning and execution for automation and manual tests to ensure quality across the organization.
• Verify component, integration and application level features and functionality to meet reliability, accuracy and performance standards.
• Execute manual test cases for end‑to‑end testing scenarios, ensuring thorough validation of product functionality and usability.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts and tools that are reusable and scalable, focusing on end‑to‑end testing and product performance.
• Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of scalable and efficient UI automated testing frameworks.
• Build elegant, robust and reliable solutions for complex technical problems.
• Review UX design mock‑ups, documents and requirements to understand feature components, details, design and functionality.
• Review engineering technical design documents and requirements; work with Engineering to create plans and strategies for testability.
• Build reliable and easily consumed tools, frameworks and environments for peers.
• Contribute to existing tools, frameworks and related solutions; increase and improve automated test coverage.
• Deliver and accept feedback with grace and courtesy.
• Collaborate with UI Engineering to determine root causes of issues and add automation quality improvements to prevent future problems.
• Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.

• Computer science background or equivalent experience (programming styles, data structures, algorithms, etc.) with at least 10years of experience.
• Extensive experience with testing tools and best practices (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber).
• Proven track record of designing and implementing test automation for large‑scale systems and developing/testing frameworks.
• Solid grounding in at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Demonstrated ability to write high‑quality code in JavaScript, Type Script, or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops).
• In‑depth knowledge of various testing methodologies: behavior, functional, performance, unit, security, contract, etc.
• Ability to design and develop efficient test strategies and plans.
• Ability to develop automated test cases, increase test coverage and reduce test time.
• Team player; demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a globally distributed team.
• Experience writing and executing test plans and documenting technical requirements.
• Knowledge of classes and testing methodologies.
