We're looking for passionate, team‑oriented, and talented Software Engineers with experience building innovative, sophisticated platforms and experiences that this growing audience will love.

This role requires strong programming ability – your technical skills will be stretched while building low‑latency, highly scalable systems enabling thousands of concurrent advertisers to design and deliver unique user experiences to millions of customers. You will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle: design, experimentation, implementation, and testing. You will succeed by combining technical experience with the ability to listen to, learn from, and communicate with a diverse group of collaborators.

The Entertainment, Devices & Grocery Ad Experiences (EDGE) team is charged with inventing new advertising experiences across Amazon’s devices to delight users while delivering results for advertisers seeking to reach this growing audience. We are a technical and friendly team that builds software systems combining data science (AI/ML), device hardware, audience data, mobile apps, and desktop web experiences. We care deeply about our device end‑users and advertising customers as well as the well‑being and growth of our team members.

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Salary range:  -  USD annually for USA, NY, New York. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
