Architect Lead

Join Capital Group as our Lead Data & AI Platform Architect and help shape a next‑generation data strategy that fuels innovation across the organization.

• Serve as the technical domain expert on foundational data, integration, and AI infrastructure technologies.
• Steer the technology strategy, define target‑state architectures, and build reference implementations for scalable, resilient data platforms optimized for Generative AI and Machine Learning.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that benefit the data and AI domain.
• Apply hands‑on expertise in modern cloud technologies, including Databricks, Dremio, Snowflake, and tools for data governance, protection, and quality.
• Test and validate solutions in laboratory environments, ensuring data pipelines are AI‑ready, performant, and secure.
• Provide thought leadership in data architecture, offering guidance on governance, security, and compliance.
• Act as the technical authority on foundational data and integration technologies, driving strategy and target state architecture to support business goals.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, guiding the organization to adopt innovations that deliver value while minimizing disruption to end users.
• Influence architects, engineers, and stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.
• Collaborate with business partners and the rest of IT to plan, design, enable, and mature the capabilities needed to deliver superior, long‑term investment results and high‑quality service.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of deep architecture and engineering experience with expertise in cloud‑native data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Dremio), LLM orchestration (Lang Chain, Llama Index), and AI development frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with modern patterns, including domain‑driven design, event‑driven architecture, RAG architectures, agentic AI patterns, semantic layers, and data mesh.
• Expertise in Python, Spark, and the deployment of large language models (LLMs) via AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or Mosaic AI.
• Proven ability to define, design, and deliver enterprise‑scale data strategies and solutions based on sound architectural principles, optimizing performance, cost, and security.
• Experience researching, assessing, and recommending new and emerging trends and implementing emerging technologies with a focus on minimizing user disruption.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate and present compelling content to guide strategic decisions.
• Customer‑centric approach that prioritizes stakeholder needs, ensuring data solutions drive meaningful business impact and user experience.
• Ability to build consensus across business and technology teams, foster collaboration, and partner with architects and engineers to adopt enterprise standards and deliver well‑architected data‑centric solutions.
• Proactive identification and mitigation of architectural risks while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.

• Competitive base salary:
  Southern California $201,683–$322,693;
  New York $213,795–$342,072.
