The Frontend Platform team creates foundational tools that enable engineers to deliver high-quality product experiences quickly and consistently. We build shared UI systems, frontend architecture, performance and reliability solutions, and tools that help teams ship well. We shape patterns, primitives, and workflows that multi‑team work is built upon, focusing on durable solutions for developers and end users. What you’ll be doing- Lead the design and delivery of large, ambiguous frontend and platform investments that span multiple teams or product areas
- Shape technical direction across the frontend stack through architecture, standards, and durable shared patterns
- Build and improve both shared frontend foundations and customer‑facing product surfaces
- Partner closely with engineering, design, and product to turn broad needs into simple, scalable solutions with meaningful user and business impact
- Raise the quality bar across teams through strong technical judgment, clear documentation, and improvements to developer experience, reliability, and engineering practices
- Help shape effective use of AI and agentic engineering workflows in frontend development to improve leverage, quality, and delivery speed
- Senior frontend engineer with 8+ years of experience, deep fundamentals in JavaScript or Type Script, modern HTML and CSS, and experience building complex web applications with a modern framework such as React
- Experience leading large, complex frontend or platform initiatives and influencing technical direction beyond your immediate team
- Strong engineering judgment and ability to balance user experience, product needs, maintainability, operational excellence, and delivery speed
- Comfortability operating in ambiguity and turning loosely defined problem spaces into clear technical direction and execution
- Ability to bring strong product and business context, using it to influence prioritization and improve customer outcomes
- Thoughtful and responsible use of AI‑enabled tools, maintaining a high quality bar and without outsourcing core engineering thinking
Alloy is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The anticipated starting base compensation range for this role is $198,000 to $250,000. The position is eligible for equity awards in the form of stock options (ISOs) and a competitive total benefits package.
