Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software, DevOps
We're building the real-time clinical decision layer for health plans—an infrastructure that turns weeks of manual review into sub-second, deterministic outcomes. This is not another SaaS dashboard. It's a system that needs to be correct every time, at scale, under pressure. As a Member of Technical Staff, you'll own critical pieces of this system end-to-end. You'll design, build, and ship production systems that directly impact how healthcare decisions are made.
This role is not for everyone. We're looking for engineers who are energized by ambiguity, who ship fast without cutting corners, and who treat production reliability as a personal responsibility.
- Design and build core platform services that power real-time clinical adjudication
- Own systems end-to-end—from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring
- Work directly with clinical experts to translate complex medical logic into deterministic software
- Build and maintain high-throughput data pipelines that process clinical data with zero tolerance for error
- Drive technical decisions and set engineering standards across the stack
- Debug and resolve production issues with urgency-our systems run in critical healthcare workflows
- Contribute to a culture of speed, rigor, and relentless improvement
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
- Production experience with Python, Type Script, or Go
- Track record of building and operating reliable systems at scale
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and modern Dev Ops practices
- You write clean, tested code and take pride in your craft
- You thrive in fast-paced environments where you're trusted to figure things out
- Experience in healthcare, specifically with FHIR, HL7, or clinical data standards
- Background in ML/AI systems or real-time inference pipelines
- Prior experience at a high-growth startup (Series A-B stage)
- Familiarity with claims processing, utilization management, or payor operations
- Contributions to open source or public technical writing
We hire people who raise the bar. Our team is small, fast, and obsessively focused on building something that matters. You'll work alongside engineers and clinicians who care deeply about getting the details right. There are no layers of management between you and impact-your code ships to production and changes how healthcare works.
