About the OpportunityA rapidly growing, venture-backed technology company is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a cross‑functional product engineering team responsible for critical user‑facing experiences, platform capabilities, internal tooling, and scalable engineering systems.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of people leadership, technical strategy, and product delivery. You’ll partner closely with Product, Design, and Growth teams to build impactful solutions while developing engineers and maintaining a high standard of technical excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a cross‑functional engineering team, ensuring consistent delivery and execution
- Partner with Product, Design, and Growth stakeholders to define and prioritise product initiatives
- Drive the development of new platform capabilities while improving existing systems and workflows
- Provide technical leadership on architecture, engineering standards, scalability, and technical debt management
- Coach, mentor, and support the growth and development of engineers
- Establish effective team processes, development practices, and operational excellence
- Manage project planning, risk identification, prioritisation, and successful delivery of complex initiatives
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high‑performing engineering culture
- Support hiring efforts and help scale the engineering organisation
- 4+ years of Engineering Management experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven experience leading software teams and delivering complex product initiatives
- Strong technical background with experience making architectural and engineering decisions
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and managing engineering performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in startup, scale‑up, or high‑growth technology environments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
