Senior AI Engineer - Founding Team

Harnham is partnering with a venture-backed, early-stage AI startup building an agentic AI operating system for the advertising and marketing industry. Having recently completed a successful Series A funding round, the company is entering a rapid growth phase and is focused on developing foundational AI infrastructure that enables intelligent workflows, agent orchestration, and large-scale production AI systems.

Rather than layering AI onto existing software, the organization is building AI-native products from the ground up. With a lean team of approximately ~30 employees and a highly collaborative engineering culture, this is an opportunity to work directly alongside founders and technical leadership to define the future of AI-powered workflow automation.

• Build and deploy production-grade AI features from concept through implementation and launch.
• Design and develop agentic AI workflows, orchestration frameworks, and intelligent automation systems.
• Create AI-powered applications that solve complex advertising and marketing challenges.
• Optimize model performance, latency, reliability, and operational costs across production environments.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Customer Success teams to validate business impact and customer outcomes.
• Own features end-to-end, from architecture and development through deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Contribute to platform architecture, engineering standards, and technical best practices.
• Help shape the long-term direction of the company’s AI infrastructure and product strategy.

• Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping production AI applications.
• Hands-on experience developing LLM-powered applications in production environments.
• Experience designing and implementing agentic AI systems and workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Proficiency with Lang Chain or comparable orchestration technologies.
• Demonstrated experience owning customer-facing products from development through deployment.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including application architecture, testing, and scalability.
• Comfort operating in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership and ambiguity.
• Product-oriented mindset focused on measurable customer and business outcomes.
• Ability to work across the technology stack and contribute wherever needed.

• Experience with multi-agent systems and advanced orchestration architectures.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Experience implementing AI evaluation and testing frameworks.
• Background in marketing, advertising technology, or related industries.
• Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Exposure to vector databases and large-scale AI platform architectures.
