Software engineer; Android

We're hiring an Android engineer to scale our Android app alongside the founding Android engineer who built it from scratch and shipped it to Google Play. Since launch, it's grown to 60,000 installs, 8,500 DAU, a 4.8 rating, and localization across Brazil, Latin America, and Italy. One engineer did all of it. It's time for the next. You'll work alongside the iOS engineers and designers to keep parity where it matters and diverge where it makes the app better.

7+ years of Android engineering

Deep expertise in Kotlin and the Android framework

Experience integrating Android apps with backend services

Strong grasp of architecture, design patterns, and the mobile lifecycle

A complex client-side system you personally architected and shipped. you can explain every decision, what you chose not to do, and what broke

Shipped real work at startups or small teams

Side projects or apps you've put into the world. things you built because you wanted them to exist

Exploratory communication. you think out loud, name tradeoffs, stay low-ego when corrected
