Who We’re Looking For

Per Scholas seeks an instructor who is detail‑oriented, problem‑solving, and capable of delivering engaging instruction on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Machine Learning. The candidate must be business‑minded, able to adapt quickly, and maintain strong accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct instructor‑led training for entry‑level to mid‑level careers in AI and Machine Learning infrastructure on AWS.
  • Deliver daily instruction, administer assessments, manage attendance, and provide one‑on‑one tutoring.
  • Monitor student progress, evaluate performance, and address policy violations consistently.
  • Provide learners with resources for outside study relevant to the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify student needs, develop individualized achievement plans, and participate in status meetings.
  • Maintain student records in Salesforce or the LMS, including grades, certification scores, and progress notes.
  • Support and update training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and other classroom materials.
Instructional Skill Sets
  • 1–3 years of teaching or training experience.
  • Strong technical background to understand and convey complex subject matter.
  • Clear communication on digital platforms such as Zoom or in-person settings.
Required Technical Skill Sets
  • ML Development & Tools
    :
    Hands‑on expertise with Amazon Sage Maker, AWS Bedrock, and Sage Maker Studio.
  • Data Engineering
    :
    Proficiency in ingesting and transforming datasets using AWS Glue, S3, and Sage Maker Data Wrangler.
  • MLOps Orchestration
    :
    Experience building automated ML pipelines using AWS Step Functions, Sage Maker Pipelines, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Security & Governance
    :
    Strong knowledge of IAM policies, VPC security, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Trail.
  • Model Monitoring
    :
    Ability to evaluate performance and bias with Sage Maker Clarify and Model Monitor.
  • Generative AI Integration
    :
    Demonstrate use of LLMs and Copilots for code debugging, note generation, and documentation automation.
Preferred Technical Skill Sets
  • Programming Mastery
    :
    Proficiency in Python (Pandas, Num Py) and SQL for data‑centric roles.
Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical/industry experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude with tools such as Google Sheets, Excel, Slides, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of business needs; strong evaluation and data‑management skills.
  • Prior IT knowledge or willingness to learn; enthusiasm for technology.

Compensation Details

Hourly rate: $60–$65 (depending on geography, qualifications, and experience).
