About the Role:

We are seeking an Execution-Focused C++ Developer to support a high-performance Cash Equities trading environment within a leading global markets organization. The role centers on designing and optimizing low-latency execution components where speed, throughput, and determinism are the primary differentiators across largely homogeneous instrument workflows.

The engineer will contribute directly to trading execution systems handling cash equities and select futures/options products (non-exotics), partnering closely with trading, quant, and platform teams to deliver production-grade, ultra-low-latency software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and optimize low-latency C++ execution components for cash equities trading.
  • Improve speed, capacity, and determinism across order handling and execution paths.
  • Analyze and reduce latency across the full execution stack (network → middleware → application).
  • Implement high-throughput, fault-tolerant trading services operating at production scale.
  • Collaborate with traders and quants to translate execution requirements into performant systems.
  • Profile, benchmark, and tune systems at CPU, memory, and cache levels.
  • Contribute to architecture and performance strategy for execution platforms.
  • Ensure systems meet reliability, resiliency, and operational standards of a trading environment.
Required

Skills and Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in C++ development in low-latency or high-performance trading systems.
  • Direct experience in cash equities execution or similar electronic trading domains.
  • Deep understanding of latency optimization, concurrency, and memory management.
  • Experience with order routing, market connectivity, or execution engines.
  • Proven ability delivering production-grade trading infrastructure.
  • Linux systems programming and performance profiling expertise.
  • Familiarity with market data and execution workflows in electronic markets.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in equities, futures, or options execution environments.
  • Knowledge of exchange protocols (OUCH, FIX, binary feeds, etc.).
  • CPU/cache optimization, lock-free structures, or kernel/network tuning.
  • Experience scaling trading systems for throughput and capacity.
  • Exposure to Python-based trading frameworks (integration context).


** The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates**
