Job OverviewWe are seeking an Application Development Group Manager lead the design, implementation, and scaling of our next-generation Fraud Detection & Analytical Solution
. This is a high-impact role and requires strong Engineering, Development and oversee the Dev Ops streams and is required drive the strategic technical roadmap, manage budgets and resources, and foster an elite engineering culture to protect the bank from existing and emerging fraud risks.
- Portfolio Management:
Lead and oversee multiple cross-functional engineering teams (including developers, Dev Ops engineers, and integration specialists) dedicated to fraud detection and analytical solutions. - Strategic
Roadmap:
Define and execute the technical roadmap for the bank's fraud mitigation platforms, aligning engineering efforts with business priorities and global risk policies. - Resource & Budget Management:
Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and budgeting for the engineering group, ensuring optimal delivery of concurrent high-priority initiatives. - Talent Development:
Mentor, coach, and develop engineering managers, tech leads, and individual contributors, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and high performance.
- Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural design and development of high-throughput, low-latency Java Microservices tailored for real-time fraud detection and analytical scoring.
- Integration Rails: Establish secure, resilient, and high-performance integration rails with Internal/External Fraud Risk scoring platforms and credit bureaus.
- Messaging & Event-Driven Architecture: Architect and implement robust messaging solutions utilizing Kafka for real-time event streaming /IBM MQ for reliable enterprise message queuing.
- Code Quality & Standards: Set and enforce high standards for code quality, security, and performance through rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to enterprise security standards.
- Infrastructure: Lead the design, provisioning, and management of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Snowflake cloud environments)/ Open Shift Clusters for application deployment and to support analytical workloads from Vendor.
- CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Establish, optimize, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, secure, and automated deployment of fraud detection services.
- Resilience & Scalability: Implement containerization and orchestration strategies (e.g. Open Shift, EKS) to guarantee high availability, auto-scaling, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Observability & Monitoring: Set up comprehensive logging, tracing, and monitoring frameworks to proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks.
- Holistic Solutions:
Drive the development of analytical fraud solutions holistically across Payments & Enterprise to mitigate transactional, identity, and emerging fraud risks. - Payments Domain Alignment:
Leverage deep payments knowledge (ACH, RTGS, Wires, IP, etc.) to ensure fraud detection engines are seamlessly integrated into core payment processing rails. - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Partner closely with Fraud Risk Policy, Information Security, Compliance, and Business Product owners to translate complex risk models into production-ready, real-time scoring engines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
