Overview:

The Front Office Technology team owns the investment facing sleeve of Capstone’s cutting‑edge technology platform; empowering our investment professionals to deliver exceptional results to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated engineer with a passion for technology and financial markets. You will collaborate with portfolio managers, quant researchers, risk managers, and other teams across the firm to deliver cutting edge solutions and build the next generation of our platform.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional problem‑solving skills, a collaborative mentality, and an ability to bring innovative ideas to life. The role offers great exposure to the many and varied areas of the hedge fund.

Responsibilities and Impact:
  • Partner with our investment teams to deliver innovative technical solutions to exciting challenges in derivatives markets
  • Architect, build and maintain our global pricing platform; focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Develop state‑of‑the‑art risk management software to empower decision making across our investment strategies
  • Collaborate with other highly skilled engineers across the technology group and the wider firm to deliver a truly integrated platform
Our future colleague has these skills:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, physics or related field
  • Experience building production level systems in an object‑oriented language e.g. Java or C#
  • Experience working with fixed income derivatives
  • 4+ years’ working experience in the financial industry (buy or sell side)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Collaborative team player with strong verbal communication skills
  • Industry experience in a similar role is a strong plus
Do you possess these Bonus

Skills:
  • Experience building enterprise software in C++ or Python
  • Exposure to market data feeds, pricing / risk systems or trading systems (ex. EMSX, Flex Trade, Trade Web)
  • Product knowledge in equities / equity derivatives
  • Practical experience with AI‑assisted coding in a production environment

The applicable base salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
