Senior Software Engineer, Search

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Search for a 12-month contract position based in Manhattan, New York. In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers to design and build the next generation of our search platform architecture, taking ownership of technical solutions from design through production deployment and support.

• Work alongside senior engineers to design and build the next generation of search platform architecture.
• Design scalable, maintainable services with clear ownership boundaries and well-defined APIs.
• Improve deployment, release, and operational processes to enable teams to develop and ship independently.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to plan and execute incremental platform migrations with minimal disruption.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design and implementation through production deployment and support.

• Required
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing backend systems using Java.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience architecting scalable, distributed systems using industry best practices.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams to deliver complex technical initiatives.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
