Senior Frontend Engineer, Conversational & Gen UI

• Deliver the assistant experience from prototype to production
• Build the framework enabling Farther surfaces to declare what the agent can do and see
• Design a renderer that turns model output into a validated, submit table interface
• Make the renderer extensible so new input types are additive rather than requiring refactors
• Negotiate and version the wire contract with the agent backend team
• Enforce the wire contract with tests
• Design and document developer-facing APIs
• Mentor engineers and set the quality bar in code review

Requirements

• 6+ years building production web applications, including time somewhere the frontend was the product
• Expert-level frontend engineering; strict typing is how you already work
• Production experience with LLMs, including agentic systems, tool calling, streaming responses, and conversational interfaces
• Composition over configuration; modular, scalable frontend patterns
• Distributed systems fundamentals: timeouts, retries, idempotency, and failure isolation
• Genuine product instincts and ability to raise ambiguity as a decision
• Fluent in an AI-assisted development loop using Claude Code, Git-based PRs, and automated review
• End-to-end ownership and a track record of meeting deadlines
• Strong knowledge-sharing and documentation habits
• Comfortable context-switching across multiple concurrent work streams
• Experience with React, Type Script, Python, Tan Stack Query, react-hook-form, Zod, Tailwind, CSS, Testing Library, ESLint, Prettier, and Git Hub Actions CI
