  • Good understanding of SQL and relational databases for backend data validation.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, including functional, regression, integration, end‑to‑end, smoke, and negative testing.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Develop automated functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end test suites for web‑based applications.
  • Create and maintain BDD feature files and scenarios using Gherkin/Cucumber based on business and functional requirements.
  • Develop reusable automation components, utilities, page objects, and test libraries.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, identify root causes, and communicate defects to development teams.
  • Inte grate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster feedback.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define appropriate test strategies.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Identify appropriate candidates for automation and continuously improve automation coverage.
  • Perform API and service‑level testing and validate integrations between application components.
  • Develop and maintain test data required for automated and manual testing.
  • Perform database validation using SQL queries where required.
  • Track defects through resolution and perform regression testing to validate fixes.
  • Analyze automation execution results and provide clear quality metrics and test reports.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and automation issues using logs, debugging tools, and other diagnostic techniques.
  • Conduct code reviews for automation scripts and ensure adherence to coding standards and automation best practices.
  • Continuously improve test frameworks, processes, execution efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to promote shift‑left testing and quality engineering practices throughout the SDLC.
