Senior Java Developer – Stock Loan / Securities Lending New York, NY location - Hybrid(3 Days Oniste/Week)12 Months Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on technical expertise and specialized Stock Loan / Securities Lending experience. The successful candidate will design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise applications within the Securities Lending platform while collaborating closely with business and technology teams.

Core Requirements Technical Skills

Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Experience designing, developing, and supporting REST APIs and GraphQL services.
Experience with distributed cache technologies (e.g., Hazelcast) and messaging platforms.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting MQ-based integrations with third-party vendor platforms (e.g., Equi Lend Loanet, Global One, and DTCC).
Strong understanding of API design, GraphQL schema design, performance optimization, and security best practices.
Experience with Vue.js is a plus.
Comfortable participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and Level 3 (L3) production support.
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools.
Ability to effectively use AI tools for:
Code generation and prototyping
Refactoring and modernization
Documentation creation
Debugging and troubleshooting
Improving development productivity and code quality
Understanding of prompt engineering concepts, context management, and token optimization.

Strong hands-on experience within the Stock Loan / Securities Lending business domain.

Rerates and substitutions
Inventory management
Collateral and pledge processing
Trade matching and settlement
Experience with FIX protocol is a plus.
