You’ll take the lead in defining and implementing our design system and component library
, ensuring our product feels cohesive, scalable, and fast to build on. You’ll have end-to-end ownership of key user journeys—designing, prototyping, implementing, and iterating quickly in close collaboration with design, product, and engineering.

• Own end-to-end UX for complex workflows
  : from research and ideation to design and implementation.

• Prototype and build production-ready UI
  —you’ll write clean, reusable code in React/Type Script while shaping the interaction design.

• Lead the creation of Vellum’s design system and component library
  , ensuring consistency, scalability, and speed across the product.

• Translate complex AI concepts into UIs that are usable and approachable
  , even for less technical users.

• Collaborate deeply with designers, engineers, and PMs to validate ideas quickly and deliver impactful features fast.

• Define UX patterns for a new category where best practices are still being written.

• Continuously iterate based on feedback, usage data, and your own instincts for great product experiences.

• Complex, multi-step AI workflows feel intuitive and cohesive—even for non-technical users.

• A robust design system and component library accelerates development and raises the UX bar.

• A track record of building great UX in complex technical products (bonus if it’s for dev tools, data/infra platforms, or AI tooling).

• Proven experience creating or leading a design system and component library for a fast-moving product team.

• Strong skills in modern frontend frameworks (React, Type Script) and a deep understanding of web UX best practices.
