Pickleball Coach

SPORTIME owns and operates 17 tennis, pickleball, sports, camp and fitness clubs across NYS, including sites across Long Island, Westchester, Manhattan and the Capital Region and New Jersey. The company is creating and scaling its pickleball division to own or lease and operate dedicated indoor and outdoor pickleball sites in current markets and nearby areas.

• Perform group and private pickleball lessons for adults and juniors at all levels.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with members and prospects.
• Organize and maintain a neat working environment on and off the court.
• Communicate with the Pickleball Director and fellow Pickleball Coaches.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service.
• Communicate with clientele to up-sell programming and provide feedback on performance.
• Ensure the facility is kept clean and tidy.
• Abide by all SPORTIME policies and procedures.
• Present a neat and well-groomed appearance and wear SPORTIME attire as required.
• Be on court prepared to teach and begin lessons at scheduled start times.
• Ensure that your schedule is accurate daily and weekly and that you have the necessary resources (courts, training aids, etc.) to teach your lessons.

• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Experience working on court in private and group settings.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Sales skills to promote programs.
• Ability to discuss programs and memberships with players.
• Ability to teach technical and tactical skills.
• Ability to play at a high level and play with students or other players when necessary.

• Compensation: $40.00 per hour.
• Schedule:
  
  Part-time. Weekend availability is a plus.
