Pep Rally​/Cheerleading Coach - Elementary level

Imani House Inc. is seeking a part time elementary after school fitness Pep instructor who is available for 2 - 4 hours a week. This position will require preparing children in fun, engaging, athletic, and teambuilding way. The group will perform at the school's elementary basketball practices, games and other events.

• Work with a small group of students to create and implement engaging sessions, that develop dance routines, movements and team spirited coordination.
• Help children learn some athletics and pep rally techniques as well as safety procedures, and performance skills
• Foster a supportive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and positive behavior management.
• Promote health and fitness by incorporating warm-up exercises, stretching routines, and injury prevention techniques.
• Collaborate with school staff management for greatest output

• Friendly and able to communicate with children from grades 3, 4, 5, and work collaboratively to incorporate physical skills and movements clearly while maintaining a lively and motivating atmosphere.
• Dance instructors or athletic instructors are encouraged to apply
• Experience working with youth and an ability to motivate and manage behavior effectively.
• Familiarity with physical education principles, including teaching physical skills such as gymnastics is a plus
• Ability to organize practices efficiently while ensuring a fun yet disciplined environment that encourages teamwork.

• Must have references, be reliable and punctual

• High school or equivalent (Required) or above
