Head Boys Modified Tennis Coach

Position Summary

The Modified Boys Tennis Coach is responsible for organizing and supervising all aspects of the modified boys tennis program. The coach will instruct student-athletes in fundamental tennis skills, match strategy, sportsmanship, and physical conditioning while promoting character development, academic responsibility, and positive team culture.

• Previous coaching experience preferred; tennis background strongly recommended
• Knowledge of tennis fundamentals, rules, and skill development appropriate for middle school athletes
• Ability to organize practices, supervise student-athletes, and manage a team program
• Demonstrates leadership, integrity, and serves as a positive role model

• Plan and conduct practices
• Teach fundamental tennis skills, rules, scoring, and match strategy
• Supervise student-athletes at all practices, contests, and team travel
• Ensure compliance with district, league, and state athletic policies
• Monitor academic progress and student conduct
• Communicate effectively with parents, athletic department, and school staff
• Maintain and inventory equipment and ensure proper care of facilities
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development

The coach is expected to exercise sound judgment in all situations and uphold the values and standards of the athletic program and school district.
