POSITION TITLE: Fitness Coordinator (Community Recreation Program)

CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: Mexico High School

CERTIFICATION: Civil Service – Non-Competitive Class

* Must meet the Civil Service requirements for the Recreation Leader II title

START DATE: As soon as possible

The Fitness Coordinator will be responsible for staffing and maintaining the schedule for the Community Recreation Program, which includes:
Swimming Pool, Indoor Track, and the Strength and Conditioning Center.

• Review and process timesheets
• Schedule new member training appointments
• Maintain district website and all forms of communication with community members
• Order supplies and schedule equipment maintenance
• Cover “open” shifts to maintain normal community use hours
• Prepare reports, assist with hiring and evaluating hourly workers
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
• Supervisory experience, preferably in a community recreation and/or fitness environment
• Must be 18 years of age or older, requires CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
• NYS Fingerprinting Clearance

• Part-time, probationary appointment
• 12-month position
• Morning Coordinator
• Hours:
  
  2-3 hours per day between 5:00am and 8:00am, Monday-Friday and 9:00am-12:00pm, Saturday
• $17.00 per hour
