Recreational Gymnastics Coaches

92NY Gymnastics hosts an Xcel (Bronze-Diamond) competitive team and a robust recreational gymnastics program for ages 1‑year old to adults. We’re looking for competitive and recreational gymnastics coaches to join our fun, family‑focused gym that promotes a supportive environment for staff and families.

Year‑round opportunities are available for coaches with no minimum hours, flexible schedules, and competitive pay. Training is available, but experienced coaches and teachers are preferred. You must have experience working with children.

• Responsible for safety and oversight of recreational and/or competitive gymnasts at all times, including appropriate spotting techniques.
• Deliver age‑appropriate curriculum and maintain working knowledge of equipment set‑up and break‑down.
• Spot gymnasts correctly as needed.
• Attend quarterly staff meetings.
• Track athlete attendance and report any issues or incidents to supervisor immediately.
• Greet all children and families with a positive attitude and deliver a fun experience daily.
• Complete athlete progress charts regularly and communicate level recommendations to respective families.
• Participate in class exhibitions and parent observations.
• Team only – responsible for attending competitive meets.

USA Gymnastics Instructor or Professional certification preferred.

HS Diploma Required – Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.

Prior coaching experience preferred.

USA Gymnastics certification preferred.

CPR certification required within six months of hire date; 92NY can support obtaining this certification.

$25 – $35 per hour. The actual compensation offered will be based on qualifications, years of relevant experience, education, certifications, and location of performance.
