Recreation Coordinator

Join our RTC social service department n's Residence. St. John's is seeking a full-time, permanent Recreation Coordinator for our RTC residential program. Full-time, permanent 40‑hour per week position with some evening/weekends as needed.

$20.00/hr - $22.50/hr

Minimum HS Diploma/ equivalent required;
Some knowledge of child welfare, preferably congregate care and activities coordination is a plus.

The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for daily/weekly youth engagement and activities for assigned youth. Assumes responsibility for knowledge of community affairs/events appropriate for youth. Must have an ability to multi‑task, plan and execute community events as well as onsite activities. Provides a broad and creative array of organized recreational activity on and off‑grounds for the youth (typically) during afternoon and evening time slots (i.e., non‑school hours).

Activities include sports (basketball/softball/flag football/volleyball and the like), tournaments, special events, parlor games, clubs and field trips. Measure of success is how many youths productively engage in the activities provided.

• Valid NYS Driver's License required.
