Part Time Assistant Men's And Women's Track Coach

Location: Saint Bonaventure

Responsible to assist with the management of a competitive NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country/Distance Track programs; assists with conditioning, practices, recruiting, and travel arrangements. This position will primarily train the sprinters and hurdles track disciplines.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Assists in executing a successful program that would include duties such as: conducting regular team and individual practice sessions; coaching the student athletes, evaluating athletes' performance in practice and competition; monitoring the conditioning and training of student athletes,

Arranges and conducts recruiting functions including off- and on-campus visits, evaluations and contacts of prospective student-athletes.

Ensures that necessary athletic equipment and gear is available and in proper condition for scheduled practices and competition and makes recommendation for repairs or replacement, as necessary.

Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining statistics.  Attends coaches' preparatory meetings and implements strategies resulting from these meetings.
