CF is currently hiring a Fleet Maintenance Technician II for Brooklyn, NY
. This position is a mid-level Mobile Fleet Technician who provides high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles, primarily Light & Medium-Duty Ford Trucks. This Technician may work independently or in a team environment.

Requirements
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
  • Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience with overall repairs with light and medium-duty trucks (minimal heavy-duty). Primarily working with FORD F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, and Ford Transit vans or similar vehicles in a related field.
  • Candidate must be able to attain the New York State Inspector's License within the first 3 months in the position.
  • Minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Possess or be able to obtain within 18 months of hire:
    Master ASE certification, and EPA 609 certification.
  • Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT physical prior to employment.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
  • Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • OEM training and certifications are preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performing certified DOT and Preventive Maintenance inspections.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies. Performs various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine, and drive line components, etc.
  • May maintain/repair equipment (Cable trailers, laptop docking stations, etc.).
  • Keep the shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance with safety standards. Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.
  • Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records. May up-fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
  • Performs some more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and some fabrication.
  • Assures prompt repairs by interfacing and coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs. May perform roadside assistance as needed.
  • Provides custom equipment when needed by engaging in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks, including welding.
  • Assures availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators and electrical systems, hybrids, and on-board computer systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
