GVC II is a Bronx-based demand responsive Paratransit company that provides specialized transportation services for people with disabilities or special needs. As part of the NYC Access‑A‑Ride program, we offer on‑demand, door‑to‑door service across the NYC area. GVC II ensures a safe, efficient, accessible, and convenient transportation system that meets the essential needs of all Access‑A‑Ride customers.
Position SummaryFull‑Time Paratransit Driver – Access‑A‑Ride GVC II – Bronx, NY. No prior driving experience required; we provide comprehensive training and certification. We offer a $5,000 sign‑on bonus (conditions apply).
Compensation & Benefits- $26.00 per hour after completion of training; $17.00 per hour training wage.
- Commercial Learner’s License (CLP) and professional driver training on 15‑passenger buses.

- Assist passengers with boarding, unloading, and the use of mobility aids.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires, and emergency exits.
- Report mechanical issues promptly and maintain a clean and sanitary vehicle.
- Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Communicate with passengers, staff, and dispatch regarding behavior or delays.

- At least 21 years old.
- Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years and a willingness to obtain or hold a valid New York State Driver’s License.
- No more than 4 points on a valid driver’s license.
- Full‑time schedule commitment.
- Enjoys working with people and driving.
- Valid Class C License preferred.
- Experience with ride‑share, taxi services, social work, classroom assistance, hospitality, customer service, retail, or direct care work is a plus.
