Pay Range: $26.00 - $30.00

Export Agent in the JFK Team responsible for coordinating customers’ export shipments and acting as the primary liaison among customers, customs brokers, and shipping carriers.

• Coordinate export shipment movements, opening files in the dedicated software system for each shipment received.
• Review invoices and shipping manifests to ensure conformity to tariff and customs regulations, contacting customs officials to release incoming freight and resolve delays.
• Receive freight, documentation, and way billing; assess charges and collect fees for shipments.
• Negotiate with domestic customers and act as an intermediary for foreign customers to resolve problems and reach mutual agreements.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months to one year of related experience; 3 years of related air export experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of Cargo Wise experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of air/ocean traffic, freight shipping, documentation preparation, and way-billing.
