Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Float A&P Mechanic - Rotor Wing FULL-TIME Opportunity in New York
- Starting Salary: $65,239 - $113,480 annually
- Float Stipend: $12,500
- IA Stipend: $2,080
- Sign-On Bonus: $12,500
We’re hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135 airframe and play a key role in ensuring our team can safely maintain and deliver timely, high‑quality transportation services to patients.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
- Manage inventory checks to ensure a stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests, and document part expenditures.
- Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
- Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow AMTs and the operations team.
Required Qualifications
- EC135 Maintenance experience
- Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Valid state‑issued Driver’s license
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support, and planning
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotations
- Acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
- Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
- Related experience under CFR Part 135
- Autopilot maintenance experience
- Avionics and electrical repair experience
