Part‑time School Bus Driver – Pine Bush School District, Pine Bush, New York
As a Part‑time School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring a secure environment on the vehicle, and supporting the school community. The role includes scheduled morning pickups and afternoon drop‑offs, with potential additional hours for field trips and special events. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to certify you as a First Student school bus driver.

- Hourly Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Training Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour during the initial training period

- Safely transport students to and from school and activities
- Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids
- Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits)
- Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary
- Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards
- Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays
- Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
- Part‑time schedule preference with summers off
- Reliable and punctual, with a clean driving record
- Willingness to complete DOT drug testing as a safety‑sensitive employee
- Basic communication skills and ability to work with children
