Salary Range:
$22.00 To $25.00 Hourly
Custom Truck One Source "CTOS" 6177 South Bay Road, Cicero, NY 13039

Monday - Friday, 8am - 430pm (OT as needed)

Summary

This position is responsible for the operation, staging, loading and unloading of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment. The position also consists of maintaining the appearance of the yard/branch, assisting mechanics, drivers or other staff with various labor-based tasks and completing other daily assignments that support the branch operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quickly and safely evaluate and identify current condition of equipment and vehicles in compliance with company standards.
Inspect parts, equipment or vehicles for cleanliness, damage and compliance with standards.
Assist with Record 360.
Detail and clean trucks to prepare them for shipping/delivery.
Load and unload equipment and vehicles plus check for any damage.
Responsible for the maintenance of the building, yard, and equipment.
Monitor inventory in yard and oversee incoming/outgoing vehicles.
Arrange equipment in yard according to facility layout.
Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.

Must have a valid driver's license; CDL a plus
High school diploma or the equivalent; GED
Knowledge of utility and/or vocation vehicles and familiarity with operating systems including but not limited to, booms, buckets, diggers, cable reels, hi-rail, Dump Trucks, Roll Offs and track vehicles.
Communicate and convey information effectively.
Must have a strong attendance record.
Forklift driving experience a plus.
Proven commitment to safety.
Working Conditions

Attendance - The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance 8:00 am- 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands
Majority of work performed outside and in the shop
May be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes

Physical Requirements

The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent lifting (10-75 lbs.), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42", occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout an 8-10 hour day, and up to 50 hours per week
Use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment
Ability to see things in close proximity and distance whether through natural or corrected vision
Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
