Location: New York

Our client are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to support a premier, global freight forwarding and customs brokerage operation at their New York hub. The workspace is dynamic, professional, and fast-paced, requiring close collaboration with both local teams and global logistics networks. Success on this desk depends on meticulous operational accuracy, regulatory agility, and an enthusiastic approach to client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and submit US Customs entries in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
  • Review shipping and import documentation for completeness, verifying accuracy and proactively addressing missing information.
  • Execute HTS classification for diverse import goods and manage accurate ISF filings (10+2).
  • Submit required clearance and regulatory documentation to relevant Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) including FDA, USDA, FWS, and EPA. Liaise directly with CBP and PGA officers to facilitate the smooth, compliant release of cargo.
  • Maintain and update account information according to specific client requirements, special billing guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide real-time clearance status updates and dedicated customer service to clients, vendors, and internal partners.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands-on entry writing experience within a customs brokerage or international freight forwarding environment.
  • Proficiency in Cargo Wise software is highly preferred. Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and Partner Government Agencies (OGA/PGA).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
