Position Overview
The Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and supporting daily warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate sit-down electric and/or propane forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and contractor pickups.
- Move, stack, and organize pallets of flooring materials (2,000–3,000+ lbs).
- Assist with receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
- Pick and stage orders accurately for customer pickup and delivery.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Perform daily forklift safety inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience preferred.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
- Experience operating electric and/or propane forklifts.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Basic understanding of warehouse systems or inventory software is a plus.
- Languages:
English – Advanced, Spanish – Advanced.
