Responsibilities
- Maintains stocks in storerooms and lockers.
- Select and disburse material as required.
- Checks inventories and receipts for materials from suppliers.
- Maintains records of supplies as required, and does general housekeeping.
- Loads incoming supplies, tools and equipment into bins and on shelving.
- Receives and reclassifies all types of returned material as to proper disposition.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Stages all materials for delivery.
- Operates various types of material handling equipment.
- Sorts and delivers mail on a scheduled basis to various locations.
- Picks up and delivers deposits and other media to banks and other locations.
- May drive a company vehicle at times, up to 18,000 lbs to various building locations.
- Must meet required test results for this position in accordance with company policy.
- Must meet Verizon medical standards for the job. Must meet weight restriction to comply with OSHA/Company safety standards.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- A valid state driver's license is required. Ability to drive vehicles with standard transmission.
- Must be available to work scheduled tours designated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and/or the needs of the business.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and non-scheduled days as the needs of the business necessitate.
