Store Assistant Manager
You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift. This includes all cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. You must set the example and follow ALL policy and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from your crew.
In addition, your duties cover staffing, paperwork, cost controls, food management, schedule adherence, image and standard compliance, great customer service, attendance and punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing, profitability, and operating all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Demonstrate the ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions/Skills- Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly; calculator may be used.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Coordinate eye and hand movements to perform rapid, accurate, precise actions.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigate to a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Traverse adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or higher in some work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Driving in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions while delivering product, driving, and couponing.

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical RequirementsStanding – Work from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum in some food process areas; height of work surfaces is 36–48 inches.
Walking – Move between the store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer location.
Paperwork – Completed in an office at a desk or table.
Lifting – Unload bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lb) using a hand truck; stack cases onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
Carrying – Carry large cans (up to 7 oz) from workstation to storage shelves; carry pizza sauce (30 lb) from storage to front of store; carry trays of pizza dough (12 lb each) at a time.
Pushing – Move trays on dollies.
Stooping/Bending – Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station and front counter; period of 30–45 s repeated frequently.
Crouching/Squatting – Performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching – Perform continuous upward, downward, and forward reaching; occasionally above 72 in to operate oven controls and change prices on signs; reach down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; reach forward for topping ingredients and phone tasks.
Driving – Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, making multiple deliveries per shift.
Hand Tasks – Eye‑hand coordination essential; continuous use of hands; frequent forceful use of forearms and wrists; manipulate pizza peel and rolling cutter; frequent pinching when assembling cardboard pizza boxes; grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.

Driving SpecificJob Duties
- Deliver product by car to customer door.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards. Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
