OverviewThe Transport Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for staff traveling to meetings, conferences, training events, airports, and other business-related functions. This position requires exceptional customer service, discretion, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. The Transport Driver serves as a representative of the organization and is expected to ensure staff arrive safely, comfortably, and on schedule while maintaining confidentiality regarding any business matters encountered during travel.
EssentialFunctions
- Safely transport staff to meetings, conferences, healthcare facilities, airports, training events, and other business-related destinations.
- Plan travel routes using GPS and traffic monitoring applications to ensure timely arrivals.
- Adjust travel plans as needed based on weather, road conditions, or schedule changes.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate meeting schedules.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition.
- Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, fueling, cleaning, and repairs.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, fueled, and presentation-ready at all times.
- Assist staff with loading and unloading luggage, presentation materials, or other business equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding conversations or sensitive organizational information encountered during transportation.
- Communicate professionally with staff regarding travel schedules and itinerary changes.
- Maintain accurate mileage, maintenance, fuel, and travel logs.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws and organizational vehicle policies.
- Provide courteous, respectful, and professional service at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Minimum of three (3) years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Experience transporting passengers in a professional or business setting preferred.
- Experience driving long distances and in varying weather conditions preferred.
