In need of a top performing delivery manager for busy oil company.
We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Manager to help oversee and coordinate our oil delivery operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient delivery processes, assisting in dispatching a team of drivers, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
Responsibilities- pulls automatic deliveries based on need and assigns them based on their degree day and depending on the cod workload.
- Routing deliveries based on workload (over 600 residential deliveries daily in the winter)
- Adjusting k factors based on season
- Ensure all deliveries follow state, local, and federal regulations, specifically regarding Hazmat and hazardous materials handling.
- Pulling back stops that can be held at end of day if a driver is running late & reassign for another day. Speak with drivers before they head in
- Provides customer service to both cod and full-service customers
- Assist drivers with various issues during the day.
- Assess needs and put out the schedule for up to 24 drivers during the heating season.
- Assisting drivers with tablet issues
- review reports to be sure no deliveries are missed
- Work with scheduled deliveries at commercial locations ensuring accuracy
Office
Hours:
Mon
- Fri – starting at 8 am & Saturdays 8-4:30 from 11/1-3/31
- Proven experience in delivery dispatching.
- Strong knowledge of GPS tracking systems
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret logistics data and optimize delivery routes.
- Proficiency in dispatching software and multi-line phone systems; ability to handle high-volume calls professionally.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on clear, courteous interactions via phone and email.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately under tight deadlines; typing skills are essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
