Location: New York
Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)
Location:
New York, NY
Salary: $65,239 - $113,480 annually. Float Stipend: $12,500. IA Stipend: $2,080. Sign-On Bonus: $12,500.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, and repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
- Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary, and document part expenditures.
- Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to company policies and procedures while complying with information security standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
- Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with all allied health, public safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and operations staff.
Required Qualifications
- EC135 maintenance experience.
- Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, with a minimum of six months of helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotations.
- Must meet mandatory FAA mandatory drug and alcohol testing program requirements.
- Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- FAA Inspection Authorization certification.
- Related experience under CFR Part 135.
- Autopilot maintenance experience.
- Avionics and electrical repair experience.
