Position Duties
Manage and coordinate vehicle scheduling to ensure timely and efficient transportation services
Maintain and manage vehicle, program, and transportation records; complete and submit reports in accordance with required timelines
Plan and coordinate efficient vehicle routes
Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and evaluate vehicle needs, recommending necessary repairs
Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules with approved vendors
Maintain accurate vehicle inventory records and manage inventory tracking
Assume full responsibility for transportation operations, including fleet and inventory management
Maintain the vehicle fleet by ordering, repairing, maintaining, and replacing vehicles to ensure they are safe, secure, and fuel-efficient
Identify, monitor, and report transportation regulatory compliance issues and violations to upper management
Serve as a back-up driver when necessary
Support other departments with transportation and vehicle-related needs
Ensure that non-exempt employees do not work overtime without prior administrative approval
Represent CP Unlimited in a professional manner to service partners, coworkers, and community members
Effectively communicate the mission and purpose of CP Unlimited
Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring all individuals using transportation services are treated with dignity, respect, and patience
Support inclusive practices that reflect the needs and preferences of the agency's target population
Ability to work effectively with a diverse population
Participate in required training programs and attend staff meetings as required
Adhere to CP Unlimited Personnel Policies and procedures
Conduct agency driver training
Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements and SkillsProven experience in a coordination role
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise direction
Strong interpersonal skills; professional, effective, and approachable
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
Strong knowledge of operational procedures
Strong financial and project management skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on program needs
Repetitive motion and frequent computer use
Prolonged sitting with extensive visual and hearing involvement
Frequent telephone communication
Office-based work with occasional driving
Ability to bend, stretch, and reach as needed
Ability to maneuver mobility devices into position
Occasional lifting of items up to 40 pounds
RequirementsHigh School Diploma Or GED
Associates / Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, or a related field preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
Experience working with individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of the local geographic area
Experience with vehicle maintenance
License
Valid New York State Driver's License or CT Driver's License
