Part-Time | Cruises operate 7 days/week
Season:
April – October (Seasonal Reappointment Eligible)

Operate the Rose Lummis during sightseeing, educational, and specialty cruises. Responsible for safe navigation, passenger safety, crew supervision, and compliance with USCG Subchapter T regulations.

Lives on or near Sodus Bay and is familiar with local waters. Has experience working on an inspected passenger or tour vessel, with preference given to candidates with experience on the Great Lakes or Lake Ontario. Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to passenger safety and teamwork.

• Valid USCG Master License (25 GRT minimum)
• Valid USCG Medical Certificate
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential

• Enrollment in USCG drug consortium (provided)
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to climb stairs and work in variable weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to assist during emergencies, including man over board and medical emergencies

Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to working at least one (1) consistent day per week throughout the operating season.

This is a seasonal, part-time position operating from April through October. Reappointment in subsequent seasons is based on performance, availability, operational needs, and regulatory compliance.
