CDL B Truck Driver​/Laborer

Job Description

Cornerstone Paving Inc, located in Dewitt NY, is in search of multiple CDL B drivers. This position start at $65/hr, depending on locale. Company with 30+ year track record working in the public sector. We are looking for applicants who have experience driving CDL B dump truck hauling paving and earthwork materials, but we are always looking for applications meeting the general criteria for our employment.

Our work consists of ~95% Posted Rate work, which is ~$65/hrplus depending on location, what benefits you take and your 401k contributions. Your off rate hourly wage will depend on experience and credentials. ALL OF OUR WORK IS LOCAL, you are home every night. Qualified applicants can start immediately.

CDL B drivers will be involved in the transport of bulk earthwork and paving materials via dump truck and general constuction labor tasks when the truck is stationary. We operate tri-axle 10 wheelers as well as 6 wheelers. Applicants must have CDL B and be able to transport these heavy materials safely and efficiently. Drivers will be responsible for all aspects of trucking including pre-trip, navigation, fueling, paperwork and light PM work.

PM work includes washing vehicle, cleaning dump box when necessary and greasing truck chassis periodically.

• you must have reliable transportation to our Dewitt location daily
• ABSOLUTLEY must have clean and valid NYS Drivers license/CDL
• must be able to operate manual transmission
• be relatively physically fit- we are working long hours in all weather conditions
• you will be required to work 6 day weeks when asked to do so- typically 5-10 saturdays per year. Half days on saturdays typically
• must have enthusiastic attitude towards work and willingness to learn
• must have atleast 1 positive work reference
