Inbound Operations Support Needed in Inwood, NY

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Pay Rate: $25 hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Coordinate and schedule inbound shipments for final-mile delivery.
• Monitor inbound shipment activity and maintain visibility from receipt through delivery.
• Contact customers to schedule delivery appointments and confirm delivery requirements.
• Manage inbound shipment exceptions, including appointment requirements, delivery delays, missing information, refused freight, and service failures.
• Review daily inbound reports and ensure shipments are actioned in a timely manner.
• Provide proactive communication to customers regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and exceptions.
• Coordinate with Dispatch, Warehouse, and Driver teams to ensure successful delivery execution.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, service issues, and shipment discrepancies.
• Monitor aging shipments and take corrective action to prevent customer escalations.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update transportation management systems.
• Support daily reporting requirements and operational metrics.
• Assist with customer service escalations and provide timely follow-up.
• Coordinate with national accounts, customers, vendors, and internal departments as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve service levels and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Base Pay: $25.00 per HOUR
