About the Position

Lean Life Manufacturing is hiring a dependable Non-CDL Long-Distance Delivery Driver to transport our refrigerated prepared meals from our Rochester production facility to our out-of-state retail stores.

This is a dedicated private-fleet position transporting Lean Life products—not general or third-party freight. Routes may include deliveries to New Jersey, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, Texas, Idaho and additional states as our retail network grows.

This is not a home-daily position. Drivers must be comfortable with overnight and extended travel. Some routes may require several consecutive nights away from home, while longer routes may keep the driver away for a week or more. Home time will be scheduled between assigned routes.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a 26-foot refrigerated box truck on interstate routes
  • Deliver refrigerated prepared meals to out-of-state retail locations
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Monitor and document cargo temperatures throughout each route
  • Maintain proper refrigeration and follow all company food-safety procedures
  • Verify load counts and maintain accurate delivery paperwork
  • Properly secure palletized products before departure
  • Assist with loading, unloading and pallet handling when required
  • Operate a pallet jack or other approved material‑handling equipment
  • Accurately maintain ELD records and comply with federal hours-of-service requirements
  • Follow assigned delivery schedules and communicate delays promptly
  • Report vehicle problems, accidents, cargo damage and temperature deviations immediately
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitary condition of the vehicle and cargo area
  • Communicate professionally with store teams during deliveries
  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, company safety and vehicle‑maintenance requirements
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid standard driver’s license
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain one before beginning work
  • At least one year of verifiable commercial box-truck driving experience strongly preferred
  • Experience operating a 20- to 26-foot box truck preferred
  • Interstate or multi‑day delivery experience preferred
  • Refrigerated or temperature‑controlled delivery experience is a plus
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • Ability to use an ELD and follow federal hours‑of‑service regulations
  • Ability to safely maneuver and back a 26-foot truck at retail delivery locations
  • Ability to remain away from home overnight and for extended multi‑day routes
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate pallet‑handling equipment
  • Dependable communication, time‑management and record‑keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to unexpected route or equipment issues
Employment Requirements

Employment is contingent upon:

  • Motor vehicle record review
  • Verification of previous commercial driving and safety history
  • DOT medical qualification
  • Successful completion of all company‑required pre‑employment screenings
  • Road test or documented demonstration of proficiency operating a 26-foot box truck
  • Final approval under the company’s commercial‑auto insurance policy
Schedule

Routes and departure times will vary according to production and store‑delivery needs. Drivers must follow all federal driving limits, rest periods and hours‑of‑service requirements.
