PMJob Purpose The Onboarding & Orientation Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a comprehensive orientation and evaluation program for newly hired company drivers, owner-operators, and fleet owners.

This position ensures that each driver is properly onboarded, understands Page Trucking’s policies and operating procedures, and satisfies applicable company, Department of Transportation, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements before being authorized to operate.

The Onboarding & Orientation Specialist evaluates driver readiness, facilitates required training and documentation, administers road tests and equipment readiness evaluations, and provides a structured and professional onboarding experience that supports safety, compliance, operational success, and driver retention.

This position serves as a key liaison among Recruiting, Safety, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Maintenance, Human Resources, Accounting, Settlements, and the Page Training Center.

Duties and Responsibilities Driver Orientation and Onboarding Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-person and virtual driver orientation sessions.

Deliver an introductory orientation presentation that covers:

Company history and overview

Mission, vision, values, and workplace culture

Safety expectations and performance standards

Orientation agenda, requirements, and expectations

Present and reinforce company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.

Facilitate the completion of onboarding documentation, including:

Employment formsFMCSA-required records

Company-specific forms and agreements

Owner-operator and fleet-owner documentation, as applicable

Verify that drivers are properly established in applicable company systems, including:

Motive Tenstreet Paycom Payroll  and settlement systems

Other transportation or fleet-management systems

Clearly communicate orientation schedules, requirements, and expectations to attendees.

Coordinate daily orientation logistics, including meals, training materials, meeting schedules, transportation, and classroom arrangements.

Training, Evaluation, and Compliance Ensure that drivers can successfully access and use Motive during orientation.

Provide training and verify each driver’s ability to complete essential Motive functions, including:

Recording hours-of-service information, as applicable

Completing daily driver vehicle inspection reports

Submitting accident and incident reports

Accessing assigned documents, messages, and workflows

Demonstrating a basic understanding of the platform

Reinforce Page Trucking’s safety protocols, compliance requirements, and performance expectations.

Track and verify the completion of required training modules, assessments, and certifications.

Coordinate and conduct road tests for company drivers, owner-operators, and fleet owners in collaboration with Safety and the Page Training Center.

Evaluate driver readiness and promptly communicate any safety, training, compliance, or performance concerns to the Safety Director.

Help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and company requirements.

Monitor driver completion of assigned tasks in Paycom, Tenstreet, Motive, and other applicable systems.

Partner with Safety, Risk, and Compliance personnel to reinforce safe operating practices and reduce preventable incidents and violations.

Scheduling and Coordination Develop and manage the daily orientation schedule.
