Location: New York
Standby Bus Driver (10-Month Position)
Gananda Central School District is seeking a reliable and safety-minded Standby Bus Driver to join our Transportation Department. This is a 10-month position that follows the student school calendar.
Standby Bus Drivers are assigned to various bus routes to provide coverage for driver absences and vacancies. This position is guaranteed 5 hours of pay per day.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $25.75 per hour
- 95% district contribution toward the Excellus High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
- District contribution to a Health Savings Account (where applicable)
- Paid sick leave
- Membership in the New York State Retirement System
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or the ability to obtain one
- Clean driving record
- Commitment to student safety and excellent customer service
Paid Training Available
Applicants who do not currently hold a CDL Class B license are encouraged to apply. Gananda Central School District will provide training to help qualified candidates obtain the required license and endorsements.
