As a Dispatcher, you are responsible for daily communication between all Captains and Homeport, tracking all vessels in operation with proprietary software, and managing radio calls from Captains while supporting as needed. In addition, operational documents and emails will also need to be communicated properly between all channels including but not limited to NYC Ferry, EDC, and DOT. While also creating schedules for Deckhands and Captains when new schedules are provided.

• Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating varied information and data.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs. Previous experience with Microsoft Excel would be preferred.
• Setting priorities, coordinating multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
• Using sound, independent judgment within established policy and procedural guidelines.
• Effective interpersonal communication within your team and other departments.
• Maintaining important emails, accurate records, and files.
• Working cooperatively and effectively within a team and the larger organizational setting.
• Operates communication systems utilizing radio, telephone & computer equipment.

• Able to work and adapt to a fast paced environment.
• Available to work mornings, nights, and weekends a must.
• High School Diploma Required.
