Education/Experience RequiredHigh School diploma. A minimum of 1 year experience. Must have a valid driver's license. Knowledge of postal meter and scales, and personal computers preferred.
Job Description & ResponsibilitiesAccountable and responsible for the movement of inbound and outbound mail/packages within the Rochester facilities.
Document, sort, and deliver all incoming mail packages and overnight letters accurately and promptly.
Process all outbound mail/packages in accordance with requested service (USPS, UPS, Federal Express, Prestige, and Purolator).
Retrieve mail from the local post office twice daily.
Receive and deliver mail/packages to all Rochester locations accurately and promptly.
Drive the company van to various locations for pick-up and delivery twice daily.
Sort, scan, and save HRS documents electronically into suitable storage files to ensure appropriate retention.
Perform internal mail runs throughout Rochester facilities each day, including delivery and pick-up of mail/packages at designated areas.
Consolidate outgoing mail to the locations using the most economical rates.
Research and resolve issues based on e-mail requests pertaining to traceable mail through internal and external systems (USPS, UPS, Federal Express, Prestige, DXO).
Answer questions and perform traces on accountable mail/packages as needed.
Make recommendations on the most economical method of shipping mail/packages to ensure the best use of company dollars.
Order and maintain the paper supply within the Rochester facilities to ensure inventories meet business needs at all times.
Position rotates throughout the Rochester facilities.
Skills & QualificationsValid driver's license required.
Knowledge of postal meter and scales preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Ability to operate a company van for mail delivery and pick-up.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external contacts.
