Fuel Truck Driver

Job Description Essential Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate heavy commercial vehicles (Tractor-Trailers or Straight Trucks with manual transmissions) in varied metropolitan traffic and winter weather conditions.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee strict DOT safety compliance.
• Load and unload fuel or oil products efficiently, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols regarding hazardous materials.
• Utilize integrated on-board computer applications to track routing, manage invoices, and accurately record logs.

Valid New York State (NYS) CDL (Class A or Class

B) with a clean driving record.

• A minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience operating:
  Tractor-Trailer (2 years required) — must be experienced with Manual Transmissions (No E-Restriction/Manual restriction on license).
• A minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience operating:
  Straight Truck (2 years required) — must be experienced with Manual Transmissions (No E-Restriction/Manual restriction on license).

• Valid Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements (or combined X endorsement).
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.
• Valid, up-to-date DOT Medical Card.

Must be dependable, diligent, highly reliable, and computer literate (for utilizing standard logging devices and routing software).

High School Diploma or College coursework is preferred.

Must pass an mandatory Background Clearance, Drug Test, and an on-the-road practical driving examination.
