Tractor Trailer Driver

Overview

A Tractor Trailer Driver is responsible for operating FMCSA-regulated tractor-trailers in intrastate and interstate commerce to safely and efficiently perform pick-ups and deliveries to and from vendors and Baldor facilities. This position requires strict adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and Company policies while ensuring on-time service, safe vehicle operation, and high standards of professionalism.

A Tractor Trailer Driver is responsible for operating FMCSA-regulated tractor-trailers in intrastate and interstate commerce to safely and efficiently perform pick-ups and deliveries to and from vendors and Baldor facilities. This position requires strict adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and Company policies while ensuring on-time service, safe vehicle operation, and high standards of professionalism.

• Deliver and pick up, of up to 24 pallets per route to and from vendors, customers, and Baldor locations, both intra- and interstate.
• Safely operate FMCSA-regulated tractor-trailers (53’ equipment) in compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and Company regulations.
• Utilize hand trucks, lift gates, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to load and unload pallets as required.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT and Company policies.
• Accurately document all deliveries and pick-ups and obtain required customer/vendor signatures using electronic Bills of Lading (BOL) in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Handle products and freight with care to ensure quality, safety, and integrity throughout transport.

• Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with a minimum of one year tractor trailer driving experience.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Experience operating 53’ tractor trailers.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English language sufficiently to comply with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Valid driving record with minimal infractions, in accordance to Company policy.
• Knowledge of products to ensure proper handling and quality control.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, routes, and delivery instructions accurately.

• Ability to work up to 6-day work schedule including weekends and holidays, Start Time: 2am till finish
• Start times determined by route assignments and operational requirements

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 80lbs,
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions without reasonable accommodation.
