Delivery & Restaurant Ops Team Member

This job position requires you to be at least 21 years old.

At Chick-fil-A East Fordham Road In-Line, the Delivery – Team Member role combines restaurant operations with off-site delivery responsibilities. Team Members in this position support operations across both Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH) while also safely operating a Company vehicle to complete assigned deliveries.

Delivery responsibilities are an important part of this position; however, Team Members are not assigned exclusively to deliveries. When not completing deliveries, Team Members are expected to actively support restaurant operations based on operational needs.

This position is approximately 30 hours per week, with availability required approximately 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, five days per week, Monday through Saturday. Employees are scheduled one day off during the Monday-through-Saturday workweek based on operational needs.

Our restaurant is closed on Sundays.

• Support restaurant operations across both Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH), including guest service, order preparation and packaging, stocking, cleanliness, and other assigned Team Member responsibilities.
• Provide professional, courteous, and attentive service to guests both inside the restaurant and while completing deliveries.
• Prepare, review, organize, and verify delivery orders before departure to help ensure order accuracy and completeness.
• Safely load and unload food orders, beverages, delivery supplies, and related items.
• Safely operate a Company vehicle to complete assigned deliveries.
• Transport and deliver guest orders accurately, safely, and efficiently to designated delivery locations.
• Protect food quality, accuracy, presentation, and integrity while orders are being prepared, handled, transported, and delivered.
• Follow applicable traffic laws, safe-driving practices, and Company vehicle and safety procedures.
• Inspect the assigned Company vehicle as required before operation and promptly report safety, maintenance, or vehicle concerns.
• Use GPS/navigation and other approved technology necessary to complete assigned deliveries.
• Maintain appropriate communication with restaurant leadership while completing deliveries and communicate relevant delivery information when necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of Company delivery vehicles, delivery equipment, and assigned work areas.
• Return to and actively support FOH and/or BOH restaurant operations when not completing assigned deliveries, based on operational needs.
• Follow Company policies, food-safety requirements, workplace-safety procedures, and uniform and appearance standards.
• Perform physical duties associated with restaurant and delivery operations, including standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, pushing, and/or moving food orders, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other duties reasonably associated with the Team Member – Delivery position based on operational needs.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid New York State driver's license.
• Must have at least one year of driving experience in New York State, including experience driving in New York City.
